![]() Overtime, they evolved into aquatic creatures with utilitarian appendages. These
early creatures, it is believed, adhered to strict principles of simple-living, save for their strange practice of collecting twigs (as evidenced by archaeological digs of underground burrows showing high numbers of twigs wrapped in bundles of 10, each bundle holding twigs of similar diameter and length). It is believed that they had irascible dispositions and growled often. |

| Currently, Tokkisom holds only 4 documented islands: Hinky Fluff, Kokkiri, Akemi and Yang-Pa. They are separated by their vast oceans and can take up to 3 months of sea travel to reach the other. There are several more islands yet to be studied, however... | |
Please continue reading the brief introductions to each island. Once you finish, you can click on any of the island icons or on the main map above or below. You will go directly to that island's map and be able to explore the different regions of that island and learn about the characters. |

Kokkiri Island is located far north of the other two and is much colder in climate.
This climate is ideal for the brooder or the daydreamer because of the many rainy
days throughout a given year. There are at least 4 known types of creatures here, all having adapted
successfully to the cold weather. One such adaptation involves the use of natural fibers.
Creating what they call "jackets," for example, have allowed them to survive long winter months. |
|
Life in Kokkiri is simple and mellow. Most prefer to enjoy their days in front
of a nice hearth amongst family, conversing with fellow Kokkirians in a comfy pub, or eating a nice plate of mash
in a popular diner on the southside. Still others prefer a solitary life, having only a flock of killer sheepies by
their side while they take to the open seas as a pirate by night.

Hinky Fluff is the most extensively studied island because it
holds a city nightlife very appealing to our researchers. Containing the richest rainforests
to the most breathtaking cliffs, this island has the most variation in climate than any of the
other known islands on the planet. There are at least 9 known and at least 2 invading types of
creatures on the island.
|
|
The intrigue does not end there. Hinky Fluff is also known for its apparitions. On the Haunted Forest, strange spirits come out at night and roam the streets in search of hapless insomniacs. |

Yang Pa is a
small island located north of Akemi. This
island is largely unexplored by both Tokki-Somans and
researchers, but recent air surveys suggest a new and
mysterious hard-working community on that island. Further
research grants would allow us to travel and create a research
facility there. Both Kokkirians and Hinky Fluffians agree that
whatever dwells on that island would be best left alone. We disagree. | |

Akemi was once home to the illustrious artist, Akemi Ikegami, made famous by her practice of using Hinky Fluff binky wool to create her clothing and accessories. However, Akemi has disappeared and her whereabouts are unknown at this time. Many blame the unusually severe monsoon season in that region while others are convinced she simply decided to move away for a time. Only time will tell where she has gone and when she will return. In the meantime, the binkies of Hinky Fluff can breathe a sigh of relief and protect their wool a little while longer. |
